PurposeThe PromScape™ system is a price and promotion analysis and modelling tool built for Consumer Goods markets by managers who have had to overcome the challenges of price and promotion management themselves. Its aim is to provide a straightforward ‘data-in, information-out’ service to managers using standard reports that deliver the key parameters with as little report specification intervention as possible required from the user. Our experience is that complex data search interfaces reduce the number of users dramatically. PromScape™ makes the data easily accessible and focuses on actionable information, taking the user beyond tables of data straight to results. It is designed to be the desktop source of choice for those wanting to track and understand price and promotion action in their market. This is the tool we use to analyse and deliver the results of the price and promotions optimisation phase for all our clients. OverviewPromScape™ is a fully integrated Microsoft database tool using enterprise scale technologies with state of the art Microsoft enabled web reporting tools. The system is hosted at PromScape™ and is accessible via a secure web service so there is no impact on your in-house systems. ![]() It is simple to use. We manage the database and we set up the reports. A degree of reporting customisation is available to each client. All users have to do is log on, select the customer, product, time period of interest and read off the results. The information is represented graphically and supported by a dynamic table of related key facts. There is no limit to the number of users from a given client and no limit to the number of times clients may access their data. As part of the task of Building Organisational Capability we provide the PromScape™ system to our clients enabled with the modelling and analysis tools that we use for client assignments. We refresh the data monthly or quarterly as is most appropriate and provide quarterly client reviews to drive out the new learning. |
